Taking care of your health can start with a hike in the forest.
Service Description
WHO: Nancy is a certified health and recovery coach and former VP of Community Impact with the United Way. She helps others live their best lives despite chronic health challenges and substance use disorder. As a former owner and operator of an outdoor tour guide WHAT: The :90 hike on Laura's Tower trail begins and ends at the town offices parking lot. The trail is 1.5m round trip and moderately difficult for hiking the 600' climb. Plan on spending about 90 minutes of hiking at a moderate pace to maintain warmth. WHERE: 50 Main St. Stockbridge, MA 01245. Main St. is also were Rt. 7 and Route 20 are combined. There are public restrooms next to the police station. Parking and registration will take place behind the Town Offices near the SW corner of the parking lot. HOW: Please wear comfortable clothing and dress in layers to stay warm. Bring water or a thermos with a hot drink. I suggest you bring one more warm layer than you think you will need. We will be moving at a pace that keeps us all together so temperatures may feel cooler than you expect. Bring anything else you may want to be warm and comfortable outdoors (gloves, hat, neck warmer, etc.). Again, think in terms of wearing one more layer than you think you’ll need. If snowshoes are needed we will have some to borrow along with hiking poles, but feel free to bring your own just in case. If you have any questions or need to contact us before the hike , please call or text us at 413-591-9355.
